01 / The Rules
Execution
One lap.
Every hour.
On the hour.
A 5K loop starts at 6:00 AM. The next one starts at 7:00. Then 8:00. It does not wait.
Miss the start,
you're out.
Finish the loop in under an hour or you're done. Stand on the line at the top of the
hour or you're done.
Last runner
standing wins.
There is no finish line and no set distance. It ends when one runner is the only one
who starts a lap.
First lap: 6:00 AM, Saturday November 14, 2026.
Rain or shine. We run.*

The List
Tap an item to check it off. Checks last until you close the tab.
Entry0/1
Cash in small bills, $1 per lap you plan to run.
Bring extra in case you feel good and want to keep going. Pay for your goal laps; if you go past them,
add the difference to the bucket at the end. It's honor system, nobody's going to hassle you about
it.
Running Gear0/7
Headlamp with spare batteries or a charger. It's
still dark at the 6AM start, and anyone who makes it past about lap 11 will be running into the
night.
Two or more pairs of shoes. Swapping into a fresh
pair halfway through helps a lot.
Several changes of socks. Wet or sweaty socks cause
blisters.
Layers for cold mornings and a warmer midday: base
layer, long sleeve, light jacket, gloves, and a beanie or buff.
Rain jacket. The race runs rain or shine.
A full dry change of clothes for the evening, when
temperatures drop.
Reflective vest or clip-on light for the night
laps.
Fuel & Hydration0/4
Handheld bottle or hydration vest, if you like to
drink on the loop.
Your own food for the whole day. Bring what you've
trained with: gels, chews, and real food like PB&Js, potatoes, or pretzels. Something warm, like
broth or soup in a thermos, is great once it gets cold.
Electrolytes, as tabs, powder, or drink mix.
Caffeine for later laps.
Home Base (Crew Station)0/6
Camp chair. Sitting between laps matters.
Pop-up canopy or tarp for rain and sun.
Small table or bin to keep your gear organized and
fast to grab.
Cooler for drinks and food.
Blanket or sleeping bag to stay warm between
laps.
Watch or phone timer. The hourly bell waits for no
one.
Body Care0/5
Anti-chafe balm, such as Body Glide or
Vaseline.
Blister kit with tape, moleskin, and needle/alcohol
wipes.
Sunscreen and lip balm.
Basic meds like antacids and anti-nausea. Avoid
ibuprofen during the run, since it's hard on the kidneys when you're dehydrated.
Wet wipes, towel, and toilet paper.
Nice to Have0/5
Foam roller or massage stick.
Portable phone charger.
Trash bags for wet clothes and your own trash.
Music or headphones, if you're comfortable wearing
them on the loop.
A crew member. Crews are welcome and are a huge help
on the later laps.
